Eau de cologne

Want to feel refreshed and relaxed? What can be better than splashing a few drops of Eau de cologne on your palm and apply it on your body. Containing almost negligible percentage of natural oil, Eau de cologne is lighter and hence lingers for a very short period of time. Eau de cologne was introduced in Germany in the year 1709 and due to its fresh smells it rapidly gained popularity.

Originally it was used as a perfume. Giovanni Maria Farina started a business out of this and turned into an exclusive producer of Eau de cologne. The term 'cologne' has become the generic term for Eau de Cologne. In addition, Napoleon Bonaparte was among the few people who used the original Eau de cologne made in the city Cologne. 4711 Cologne is the most famous and oldest of all the colognes.

Eau de cologne is composed by blending citrus oil and alcohol with oils of lemon, grapefruit, orange, tangerine, lime and so forth. Traditionally, this mixture of citrus oils was used to fight against the infectious disease called bubonic plague. Later, in the year 1732, it also got noted for curing diseases like stomach ache and bleeding of gums.

Lately it's renowned for its sweet fragrance and freshness. Use it for massaging your body or for spraying on your pillow; it always makes you feel comfortable.

Theydeserveit.com provides you information on the Eau de cologne. Wish you had a pleasurable time going through this section and knowing about the Eau de cologne.
